Insect Farming with Grubs Up

Grubs Up insect farm was established in 2016 after two years of dreaming big and researching the potential of insect production for animal feed and human food in Australia. Founder, Paula discovered huge potential for producing insects as a protein source.

Grubs Up will be delivering complimentary sessions in the Learning Hub on insect farming which includes tastings!

Pig Racing and Diving

Previously entertained crowds at every major Royal Show in Australia and have been thrilling audiences since 1993, pig racing and diving will feature for the first time at the Seymour Expo in 2018.

The team of pigs are professionally trained and well cared for by a highly experienced animal trainer with 30 years of experience.

Vintage Model Steam Engine Display

On display is John Sparks' brilliant vintage model steam engines, steam truck, steam car and fairground organ.

2018 AWPA Victorian Whipcracking and Australian Bullock Whip Championships

Hear the crack and see competitors hit targets with precision and whip their way through routines. With $3,000 in prizes at stake AWPA Victorian Whipcracking Championships and Australian Bullock Whip Championship attracts competitors from far and wide.

It’s a full day of action where you’ll see the youngest in the Pee Wee division through to the Mens and Ladies in their respective divisions.

Chainsaw Carving

Considered as one of the world's best chainsaw carvers, Rob and his team return to the Seymour Expo to entertain the crowd with their popular chainsaw demonstrations.

Super Tank Fishing Show

The Super Tank fishing show gives the audience a fish’s view via the giant 15 metre long perspex fish tank. The audience are able to see what the fish sees from under water and how it reacts to specific fishing lures and techniques that are demonstrated by the team.

Michael is a seasoned angler with experience in catching different species of fish. He will run 20 minute demonstrations providing tips on improving your strike rate the next time you're on the water.

The Animal Farmyard

Stop by the Animal Farmyard to visit Farmer Darryl and his animal nursery. See more animals than ever and friendly Farmer Darryl will answer questions and share details on caring for all types of farm breeds.

Close Encounters with Reptiles

Reptile specialist Allan Burnett will hold demonstrations daily. A dozen different species of reptiles will be on display from pythons to lizards with the opportunity to touch and feel.

15 minute demonstrations every half hour each day.

Butcher Shop

With over 50 years' experience as a butcher, Bob the Butcher will provide advice on meat cuts, getting the most out of your meat, knife techniques and demonstrations on breaking down a carcass.

Camel Rides

Enjoy the experience of a camel ride and see the expo from a different view. Talk to Peter and meet his camels who have appeared in movies and weddings.

$10.00 per person, per ride. Children under 115cm must ride with an adult.
